Political correctness is NEVER about equality, or
about equal application of the rules.  Political correctness is about advancing ONE political agenda and protecting the sensibilities of ONE side of the equation, not "applying it to all of us."


If you rail about illiterate, shiftless white people on welfare,
that's okay. That's politically correct.  If you rail about
illiterate, shiftless NON-white people on welfare, no matter how carefully you back up your assertions with real world facts, that is politically INcorrect and you can expect to be condemned and excoriated.

If you chuckle over the bad pronunciation or accent of someone like, say, former president George W. Bush, that is politically correct.  That's okay.  If you chuckle over some hip-hop star who talks like he has a mouth full of peanut butter, that is politically INcorrect and you can expect to be condemned and excoriated as racist, racist, racist!

Political correctness is not about being overly sensitive, or about being overly polite, overall, to everyone.

No.

It is about banning simple facts from public discourse because they offend the sensibilities of SOME people, of SPECIAL categories, at the expense of everyone else.

LGIS, Part 2

Being politically correct is not about being polite, or sensitive, or considerate. And it is CERTAINLY not about being polite or sensitive all around to everyone equally.

Political correctness is an extremely specific and one sided strain of oppression. 'Politically correct' means, simply enough, being correct in a political arena... INSTEAD of being correct in a factual, medical, biological, scientific, mathematical, moral, economic, business practical.... real arena.

It is a brand of 'correctness' divorced from any reality except for political game playing. Politically correct is about defeating America and Americans in a political arena by assembling coalitions of criminals, lunatics, sluggards, deviants, psychopaths, mooches, terrorists... any nut jobs you can get to gang up on the American people until you can assemble... here's the magic word... a 'coalition' to thwart the will of the American people in an election.

Of course the only way you can rope together a frequently mutually-exclusive gang of America's domestic enemies is by mandating that nobody... NOBODY... however sick, twisted, dangerous or useless, have his aberrant sensibilities offended. This requires rules, rules for policy and, especially, rules for speech. All speech must be correct, not in the factual sense of being literally 'correct,' meaning 'true,' but in the 'PC' sense of satisfying the sensibilities of every single deranged component of the all-important 'coalition,' and therefore frequently not true at all.

So instead of speech being simply 'correct,' it must be POLITICALLY correct to satisfy the political agenda of the political class seeking to screw Americans in the political arena.  (Chris Tomlin)

Let's Get It Straight!

Political correctness involves kowtowing and catering to ONE SIDE of  the political spectrum and ONE set of political sacred cows.  If it were about 'any and all hate speech,' that, at least, would be consistent, fair and honest.

But it isn't.

Politically correct means you can make snarky cracks about Bristol Palin having illegitimate children who she actually supports... but can't talk about the millions of other American women having illegitimate children who end up on taxpayer paid public assistance.

Politically correct means you can slander Christians of any kind, but not say anything unpleasant, however true, about terrorists.

Politically correct means you can call the United States of America a worldwide oppressor, criminal, force for evil, but not point out the good America has done in the world.

Politically correct means you can accuse police of randomly shooting people at will, regardless of how false that accusation is ('hands up don't shoot' anyone?), but not point out that they save MILLIONS of lives by enforcing the law and protecting our neighborhoods.

That is what political correctness is all about.  It's about ONE PARTICULAR KIND of politics.

And "hate speech?"  Some kinds of hate speech, like the type spewed out by the Southern Poverty Law Center is absolutely, positively politically correct.

So You Thought It Applied Solely To People?

The latest news is (a) binaryism is a form of enslavement and (b) even inanimate objects can be subject to it.

Ironically (but in no way surprisingly), the "liberated" bathrooms became a site for another type of exploitation, which then had to be dealt with...but not in any way where common sense and reality once again reigned.  Heaven Hell forbid that we should commit the ultimate sacrilege of violating the principle of infinite seventy-one gender options!

I'm wondering what Kafka could've done with THIS as fodder for his fiction?  Oh, the joys of the mutancy panoply!

Long ago, I got fed up with the enviro-freaks, the Greenists.  Nothing but Brownshirts in PeterPan costumes.  So you can imagine my irritation when I encountered this today at the bottom of an email from a business:
